Comments by "" (@thehumanity0) on "Why Ben Jealous Lost The Governor's Race In Maryland" video.
Ocasio-Cortez was outspent 10 to 1 in a district that was far more low-income, while Jealous was outspent 24 to 1, had no Democratic support from the party (who favored Hogan the Republican), and was in a state that has a lot more high-middle-income families that apparently go out to vote a lot more than the low-income ones in Maryland.

He's not a far-right Republican because he's in a blue state, you think he'd be like that if he was in Georgia? You think Manchin would be a Republican-Lite embarrassment if he was running in Maryland? I grew up directly North of Maryland in York County, and there are countless regions of Maryland that are in utterly bad shape. There's a reason the corporate Democrats and CNN love him so much, he's nothing but a 'fuck you' to low-income families in that state.

He literally ran ads where he took Jealous totally out of context saying "Call me a Socialist if you want", even though there was a "but" afterwards and talked about how he'd worked as a venture capitalist his whole life as the head of the NAACP.

Ben was outspent 24 to 1. This shouldn't even be legal, it's the literal definition of corporatocracy.

Hogan's "anti-gerrymandering" because Democrats are in charge at the state level in Maryland. If Republicans were in control, he'd be pro-gerrymandering. You think Hogan has a fucking conscience or something?

He was outspent 24 to 1. Didn't even have the funds for campaign signs and bumper stickers. It's a shame to see the thing we love about these candidates become their undoing in the end (only taking small dollar donations that is).

Ben Jealous was outspent 24 to 1. What the fuck more is there to say?

Seems to me the low-income people just didn't come out to vote. You had ALL the Republicans in that state go out for Hogan (including the low-income Republican families) and then you had the high-income Democrats go out for Hogan, while only the low-income Democrats voted for Jealous yet still not enough of them showed up on election day to make the difference.
