  1.  @snoopy_peanuts_77  There is such a thing as the "populist right", it's just not actually represented in Washington. There are countless right-wingers who support Republicans thinking they're the party of workers & have been duped into supporting liars and conmen. This is mostly their faults for being uninformed fools, but it's also the fault of the Democrats for being just shitty enough on policy issues so it's then an open question to uninformed Americans which party is better for workers. The reason they fell for Trump's populism con so badly is because they desperately want there to be a populist leader that agrees with them on their cultural issues, so yes, the populist right is absolutely a large voter base.
