Kyle doesn't, I think Farron is wrong to place Kyle in that category, but Farron is right about Jimmy. Jimmy essentially ran a smear campaign against Gillum days before the midterm. Now we have Ron DeSantis. Kyle was supportive though, he is mistaken about that point.

What does that even mean? He wanted the most progressive candidate to win, he's just pissed because he thinks Jimmy Dore's smear campaign against Gillum could've cost him the election in a sense (it's super fucking close). I think he's misunderstood about Kyle though and think Kyle's criticism was mostly productive criticism and still supportive.

I think he was more talking about Jimmy Dore, who was 100% against Gillum and never even supported him even before his slight pivoting. Sometimes people who don't watch Secular Talk lob Kyle in with Jimmy, which is just a misunderstanding as far as I can tell. Once you watch Secular Talk, you would understand they are nothing alike and I do think Kyle gave mostly positive coverage and support of Gillum.

100% agree. From what Cousins said, it sounded like he was mistaken to lob Kyle's name in there because Kyle was mostly supportive and only gave productive criticism, while Jimmy Dore was the one who essentially ran a smear campaign against Gillum days before the election. I see a lot of people incorrectly place Kyle in the same group as Jimmy, but once you scratch the surface you find out he's totally different and nothing like Jimmy, who has absolutely no idea what he's doing or any perspective of how to win for the left. Kyle was still supportive of Gillum, Jimmy might as well have been a DeSantis supporter from the shit he was saying and not even noting on the fact that DeSantis is a million times worse than anything negative you could perceive Gillum as.

I think he was mistaken to lob Kyle's name in there, but I think he was mostly pointing to Jimmy Dore who visibly ran a smear campaign against Gillum and never gave him ANY support even before he pivoted after the primary. Kyle was supportive though, I think he's just mistaken about that point and emotional about the loss. I know I was massively disappointed and I live on the complete other side of the country.

I think Farron Cousins was wrong about Kyle, because I think Kyle's coverage was mostly productive criticism, but he is totally right about Jimmy Dore, who was basically running a smear campaign against Gillum, Ocasio-Cortez, and Justice Democrats days before the midterm. Kyle does not belong with him though and I think Farron Cousins is mistaken in that regard alone.

Farron was misunderstood to lob Kyle in with Jimmy's name, but Farron's criticism against Jimmy Dore who actively ran a smear campaign against Gillum and Ocasio-Cortez is pretty valid as far as I can tell. He lives in Florida so it's understandable he's pissed about Gillum's loss the most out of everyone.

I don't really ever watch Ring of Fire, but Farron Cousins seems alright. Seems like he's just upset over the Florida loss. I know I was and I don't even live anywhere close to Florida. Also, I think he was talking about Jimmy Dore and was just mistaken to lob Kyle's name in with him. Apparently he already apologized to Kyle for incorrectly mentioning him in that original video. Cousins is right about Dore though.

Jimmy essentially ran a smear campaign against Gillum before the midterms though, it is clear that is what he was alluding to in his original video. Kyle was mostly supportive though and gave productive criticism which Dore definitely did not.

He was very good in the debates there is no doubt about that. Kyle had some valid criticisms of him, but perhaps he should've emphasized the massive difference between the two candidates in the race. Ron DeSantis is going to be more of a disaster than Red Tide Rick. This is a devastating loss for Florida and Farron Cousin's anger is understandable even if he is mistaken about Kyle specifically (Kyle was supportive, I think he's just misunderstood about that).

Kyle, I think he was more talking about Jimmy Dore (who most certainly did not support Gillum). It sounds like he doesn't really watch your show, because once you get past some of your titles, you definitely did support Gillum even with some of the pivoting he did. It bugs me when people lob you in with Jimmy Dore, because you're COMPLETELY different than Jimmy and actually care about winning and care about stats and facts.

We don't know for a fact if Gillum campaigning with Hillary and Biden helped or harmed him. There is even a decent chance that they canceled each other out with one helping him and the other hurting him. However, what we do know is that Jimmy Dore's smear campaign against Gillum only days before the midterm absolutely could have ONLY harmed him even if it was just one person. The comparison between the two is a false one considering one was done to help him and the other was done to only tear him down, this is the main difference that I see.

Kyle it's clearly not your point "to burn it all down and everything is all equal" and I think that's why Cousins apologized to you for lumping you in with that group, but that is 100% what Jimmy Dore believes and I didn't see you comment on Dore the entire video. He is the real issue of this story and it's like you just tip-toed around him. Hillary has pretty bad approval ratings right now, but has had good ratings in the not-so-distant past, and Biden has pretty good approval ratings as well, so your point is very debatable to begin with and shaming someone for contesting the argument as "too far gone" is just smug bullshit. I personally, do not think he should have campaigned with Biden and Hillary, but I'm a progressive, so you have to think outside of your own bubble in this instance. You seem to think that everyone thinks the same way you do about everything, because there is possibly a 50/50 chance that those campaigns might've actually helped him or hurt him, or they canceled each other out with one helping him and the other hurting him, you don't know and you have no way to prove that. I just find your smugness overwhelmingly arrogant though.

@snowwyify I never said that it wasn't all a cause of Gillum, it was. However, if you're doing a comparative analysis of how Kyle handled the coverage of Gillum vs how Dore handled it, Kyle's coverage was based on constructive criticism and a warning to Gillum to not do the shit he was doing. Dore, on the other hand, basically was screaming about how Gillum was a sellout and essentially nobody should go out and vote for him against fucking Ron DeSantis now probably the worst governor in the country.

I agree with Cousins about Jimmy Dore. He is mistaken on Kyle because Kyle was overall supportive and only gave productive criticism. I think Farron already apologized to Kyle for lobbing him in with Jimmy Dore cause Jimmy was the one who ran a smear campaign against Gillum and never supported him even in the primary.

Cousins already openly apologized to Kyle for the mistake and Kyle stated as much 5 mins into the video. It was very clear in that video he was talking about Jimmy Dore, who essentially ran a smear campaign against Gillum and never said a peep about how shitty DeSantis is. Kyle's statement of "I'm not going to tear down a candidate just to tear them down and pretend like everything is all equal" is EXACTLY a description of Jimmy Dore and his recent attacks on progressives including Bernie and Ocasio-Cortez.

He still had Medicare for All posted on his site, there's a good chance he stopped mentioning it as much in the general because he did not want to energize the Republican base, in which Trump has demonized Medicare for All as much as he can in the last few weeks. I think some of the anger towards him over toning down his rhetoric about Medicare for All was a little trigger happy especially from Jimmy Dore who essentially ran a smear campaign against Gillum days before the midterm.

Kyle explained in the clip that Farron apologized for lumping Kyle into that group, but his broader point about Jimmy Dore is a correct one, in which Jimmy ran a smear campaign against Gillum days before the midterm. We can debate on the points about whether campaigning with Hillary helped or hurt him (it's a fair one), but claiming that Jimmy Dore's smear campaign did Gillum any favors is absurd, those videos and constant Twitter bashing only hurt him and could've cost him the election just as much as any harm he did himself over his pivoting. If we're going to point fingers, let's be realistic here, that applies to Farron Cousins and YOU.

Yeah Ojeda made a speech and called Trump out on this. Said another useless Washington insider (Carol Miller) was being elected to not represent the West Virginia public "because of you, Trump". Blamed Trump for basically using his fake populism to fight real populists in the midterm elections.

It was an extremely close race though, so any sneeze or small action could've effected the outcome of the race. Kyle was right in his criticism that his toning down of Medicare for All in his rhetoric could've been the thing that did it, while Farron Cousins could be right that Jimmy Dore's smear campaign against Gillum could've been the thing that cost him the race (though I think Kyle was mainly supportive and Cousins is wrong on that point).
