If there's anyone in the world that is impervious from developing empathy & open minded views from a trip on hallucinogens it would probably be Trump.

@counselorguy5481 Your categorization of people who are & aren't considered "alt left" is pretty confusing. Especially since Sam Seder is usually more accepting of normie Democrats than pretty much anyone else you mentioned. If anything, Seder is center left (aside from his socialist views) while a few people in that list like Abby Martin & Jimmy Dore are alt left or far left - especially when it's hard to place them on a scale from Biden to Bernie/Tulsi. I prefer to not even use these descriptors though because individual ideologies are more complex than just a linear Left to Right, especially when you start throwing terms around that are prefixed by 'alternative'.

You don't need to guess his feelings, he's said as much numerous numerous times over the past 3-4 years & just recently called Trump a sociopath in this very podcast.

He gave Bernie a chance to speak face to face with Joe (no media, no filtered bullshit) & was even convinced by his arguments. I'd say at the very least he's an honest actor.

I don't think that's the same thing Kyle. Joe said he was probably gonna vote for Bernie in the primary, he never said he was voting for Trump (& had been bashing Trump's leadership earlier in the podcast). It was the mainstream media who blew Bernie's tweet out of proportion, claiming a sexist & transphobe endorsed Bernie.

@eldio2124 Rogan doesn't want to have a 3 hour conversation with any politician he doesn't outwardly see as being honest or down-to-earth, & when it comes to Trump, he's the biggest liar of them all. Rogan wouldn't see the point of talking to someone like that & he'd react the same way he did to Warren, Buttigieg, Harris & Biden when they asked to be on his show.

I doubt Obama needed Taibbi's insight to learn how to screw progressives & rig a primary. He's been doing shit like that for decades now - Bloody Monday was just on a whole new scale of low for him.
