When AOC said the "Occupation of Palestine" and seemed to have less knowledge on the Israel-Palestine situation, the media flipped out at her for days. Saying she needs to determine a calculated response is the correct move on her part, but it's always weird to see people expecting her to be perfect on every issue. She's literally the reason the country is having a debate on marginal tax rates and yet some "progressives" won't be happy unless she has spotless rhetoric on foreign policy and absolutely must have to comment on every thing that happens in the world.

Man the comments here on AOC are so absurd. She's literally the reason the country is having a discussion on top marginal tax rates and was one of the only people to vote against Paygo AND actually tried to garner support for more to vote against it, yet that's apparently not enough for some "progressives" that she needs to be perfect on everything even though she looked to be in an actual hurry unlike everyone else in the video and was already through the door going into session.

She was literally going into session and was already through the door. What exactly did you want her to do? Also, anything she says about Venezuela will instantly be used to mercilessly attack her as a politician seeing how she constantly gets incorrectly called a "Socialist" every day already.

Besides, even if she did stop and talk, her saying "I'm working on a response" is the correct thing for her to do, because she likely has to give a calculated response to this topic so MSM doesn't make her the sole topic of discussion for an entire week.

Unlike everyone else in the clip, AOC was literally through the door going into session. Everyone else "in a hurry" had their aides pull them away from the interview. AOC didn't even have time to engage the reporter.

Kyle telling Bernie and AOC to talk about it and "just say it's a matter of principle", absolutely won't matter to the people at CNN and especially Fox News. They will do smear jobs on them nonstop on Venezuela all the way up to the 2020 primaries. We all know this.

Rick Rick Actually, if you look closely, the ones who have their aides pull them along as if they have somewhere to go clearly looks rehearsed as if they taught their aides to do that if a reporter ever slings a hard question at them they don't want to answer, then they can pretend like leaving is not up to them. AOC did not do that and was literally the only one looking like she was actually going somewhere and going into session or some meeting where she was already through the door. My over-arching point though is that AOC does so much for the progressive agenda that it's ridiculous that some "progressives" don't even give her the benefit of the doubt when she very clearly appears to be in an actual hurry in this video, and in addition she has already voiced an opinion on this issue where she supported opinions on twitter condemning the coup. So it's not even that people are giving her shit over her opinion, they're doing it because she's not screaming it from the rooftops and being loud on the topic.

@SclountDraxxer No, it's based on pure fact. A few months ago Jimmy made a video attacking AOC for a 9 second clip on CNN and claiming some innocuous statement on CNN somehow equated to a full-throat endorsement for Andrew Cuomo. I'm sure he could do the same exact smear job with this 2 second clip here even though AOC looked to be in a genuine hurry.

Her words were literally "I support all Democrats in the general even the governor", her campaign even said she never endorsed Cuomo and somehow Jimmy and his band of jackasses can't give her the benefit of the doubt for some innocuous statement on CNN. She was ALWAYS acting like a progressive even though you took a 9 second clip that meant nothing and made it into a gigantic constructed fake controversy just as centrists did to Bernie Sanders yesterday over his SOTUS response over Stacey Abrams. @SclountDraxxer You're acting as though AOC campaigning for Nixon with all her volunteers and her 9 second statement on CNN are somehow mutually exclusive to one another. The only reason Jake Tapper even asked AOC about whether she would support Cuomo is because he was trying to back her into a corner knowing that she tried to remove him from office and primaried hard against him. He was trying to trap her and get her to say something CNN could use against her later and claim she didn't support Democrats. This is literally the same conversation where he was smearing her on Medicare for All and claiming it costs "$32 Trillion". Her saying she supports her own party is no surprise and the right defense against his bullshit smear, and the fact that she said "even the governor" is what you're having a monumental bitch out for is beyond fucking silly. Even to this day. You're going to try to claim she's a 'co-oped sellout' (as Jimmy Dore explains) for something as small as that, and something her campaign even stated was NOT an endorsement whatsoever. If you can't accept that fact, or at least give her the benefit of the doubt because she spent so much time working AGAINST Cuomo and campaigning directly for Nixon, then there is no hope for you or this conversation.
