That's a flimsy point that I've heard Kyle make. Barr is a political hatchetman who is to blame for the exoneration of both Ronald Reagan and Oliver North and the Iran Contra Affair, and you really want to take his word as fact? Kyle is not being nuanced at all on this issue.

@mckenzie.latham91 Not just that, but Barr has a history of covering up for guilty people. He was the guy who covered up the Iran Contra Affair and exonerated Oliver North and Ronald Reagan. Trusting his word as fact is beyond foolish, I cannot stress this enough, and the people "trusting" Barr are the same people who said Mueller cannot be trusted because he was one of the people who pushed the idea that there were WMDs in Iraq. It's hypocritical to be nuanced about one but not the other, especially when many things in Barr's summary don't make sense and he does not even acknowledge entire scopes of the investigation.

@GeraltofRivia22 Most people are not awaiting news on the Russian collusion part, but the Obstruction and other crimes the report holds is likely why Republicans are refusing to release it. Barr, the guy who covered up the Iran contra Affair, should be trusted as much as someone like Elliot Abrams on the topic of giving humanitarian aid to countries the US wants to topple. They both have untrustworthy history in their fields.

Pretty much, and people like Kyle are playing right into his hand. I thought Kyle had evolved on this and said that he "supported the portion of the report on criminal wrongdoings", but the way he's been reporting on it makes it seem like Barr's summary somehow clears Trump on everything, which is not true whatsoever. Not to mention Barr is a political hatchetman with a history of covering up for Oliver North and Ronald Reagan in the Iran Contra Affair. @patrickpinch2929 Maybe because there ARE numerous allegations of Trump laundering money, which is also likely a part of the Mueller report that we haven't seen and Barr refused to mention in his questionable summary. There are reports of Trump laundering drug money at his Panama hotel, and yes with Russian oligarchs as well, something even Kyle has talked about in the past.

@Sky yyy That's not what people are saying at all. This post in particular was talking about the Obstruction part, something that even Barr (a political hatchetman) stated did "not exonerate" Trump. Trusting Barr's summary as fact is beyond foolish specifically on the parts of Obstruction and other crimes that Barr's summary didn't even address and willfully ignored (likely for a reason). No one here is even talking about the Russian collusion part, but your attempts to dismiss all the other crimes as a silly concept of a "Russian Manchurian candidate" shows that you are not serious on this issue. I agree on the Russian collusion part (and always have), but stop being disingenuous about the rest, collusion was only a portion of what the Mueller investigation was.

@MomoTheBellyDancer We don't know that for sure, just like Kyle doesn't know for sure. The point is we should all be withholding analysis until the actual facts are released. That's NOT what Kyle is doing even in the slightest.

@Arnaud I don't know why people keep bringing up this point as if it explains everything nonsensical about the Barr letter. FBI and DOJ aren't just average people, they fall into the chain of command, and especially what we've seen from Mueller specifically, the guy hasn't leaked anything, so why would he leak now to directly undercut what his boss, the Attorney General, is saying? People forget that Mueller is a Republican and was the director of the FBI for years. Why would a Republican Fed put his career and reputation on the line just to clarify on information that will likely be released eventually anyways. This is a weak argument.

Trump just ranted about how "the report could be twice as long and it still wouldn't be enough for Democrats" essentially making the statement that Barr's summary "should be enough". He has the audacity to say this when nobody has even seen a shred of the report yet, no one in the public and no one in Congress, and all we have to go off of at the moment is a political hatchetman's summary of a summary, who was hand-picked by Trump to directly mitigate damages of the Mueller report and who has an absolute garbage history of covering up for Republican presidents and their lackies like Oliver North. If you or anyone don't see the problem with that, then you're intentionally trying to be deaf, dumb and blind on the issue. The guy who wrote the summary was not Mueller, it was Barr, a man who has an extremely untrustworthy history who covered up for Oliver North and Ronald Reagan in the Iran Contra Affair. Withholding an analysis before seeing the real report and facts is not "liberal birtherism", it's common sense, something that even a majority of Republicans support. The guy who covered up the Iran Contra Affair is hiding truth to hinder any justice, if you believed Barr was accurately "summarizing" the report, you're a fool just like Kyle. I've been with Kyle on his stance on the Mueller report (probably even more than you), but this past week he's been doing these dumbass pieces that take Barr on his word even on the Obstruction angle and other scopes of the investigation.

@adamdavis1648 Yes, since my original post you're responding to, Mueller's team did come out and say Barr was hiding some of their conclusions in his "summary" and Barr has walked back on his letter being a summary. My original point was that Barr is a political hatchetman and that recent news from Mueller's team only solidifies that point more. We won't know exactly what the conclusion is until the report is released. Either way, people are going to continue to over-exaggerate one side or the other, but not even Kyle and Greenwald are correct on this one, at least not until there is solid proof. They're taking a political hatchetman's word as fact, which is beyond foolish and, in their case, really hacky considering they constantly questioned Mueller for his history with claims of WMDs, but now are failing to even have slight nuance over Barr's obviously biased letter. As I said before, Barr is the guy that covered up the Iran Contra Affair, his "word" can be trusted just about as much as someone like Elliot Abrams.

@stephentoth6003 Obviously they're not "working together" if there are conflicting conclusions from the report and the team that has been working on it for 2 years states Barr is misrepresenting their findings and conclusions. At the very least, they're not working together well, and I think it's painfully obvious why that is considering Barr was hand-picked to mitigate any negative findings from the report. That was literally his one job from Trump and he had a huge conflict of interests even before becoming AG, where he wrote an essay about how the Mueller investigation should be dissolved. Let's not overlook these things and work backwards from any conclusions.

@emergencybearcedures4494 He's the president, the conclusion, for all we know, could've been Trump is guilty of everything, but he is president so there won't be any charges because Mueller thinks a president can't be indicted. It could be the opposite too, nobody knows until we see the report genius, all we know is that Barr's letter is bullshit now, and it's probably not good for Trump or else he wouldn't be blocking it's release and having his goons mischaracterizing the investigators. Kyle's willingness to accept a political hatchetman's obviously biased letter as fact just hurts his credibility. I've been warning people to not take Barr's word as fact until we see the report. If you don't know, Barr is the guy who covered up the Iran Contra Affair for Oliver North and Ronald Reagan, he's been covering up the truth and hindering justice for decades.

This video seems ridiculously unnecessary. That poll is not even specifically pointing to Russian collusion or Obstruction. Obstruction being something that Trump was specifically not cleared for, so why is Kyle even talking about this exactly?

@Arnaud Mueller left the decision to proceed with indictments with the AG Barr, and anyone can guess that's not gonna happen with the guy Trump hand-picked to mitigate the disaster for himself and whose already trying to cover up the report and its findings. Either way, Congress can use the unredacted findings to proceed with potential indictments and subpoenas of their own. I doubt any of this is over for Trump, I just hope the Russian collusion angle of it dies because that was always the weakest portion of the investigation that Trump and certain people used to discredit the whole thing even the parts on business ties and federal crimes with the Trump organization.
