This honestly just feels like CNN and the media have come to accept AOC as a constant in the political equation and someone who cannot do damage like Bernie can (especially if made President). Does anyone truly believe they really want AOC in Chuck Schumer's New York Senate seat? This just comes off as CNN trying to stay relevant with a controversial guest & an edgy take.

@eliperilpresidente I am a regular Secular Talk viewer & I do not have this take, though I would agree with you many would. Seems a bit more complicated than all that

@vernlaw The amount of hatred he's gotten has far FAR exceeded any amount of even just respect or honesty (much less 'love') they've given to the man. This is so obvious that it's become a common known fact after the blatant treatment the media gave him in 2020.

@vernlaw I don't know if you just don't remember the 2016 and 2020 elections, but in 2016 they basically did a full black-out of the Bernie Sanders campaign, Ed Schultz literally lost his job because the media heads told him to ditch coverage of Sander's events, and then in 2020, they had such biased coverage of him that MSNBC went as far as to compare him to Nazi Germany the day he won Nevada. It feels silly that I have to point out any of this, but I could give you near infinite more examples of the media doing extreme bias towards Sanders such as the NY Times doing 20 hit pieces on Sanders in 24 hours and many similar bombardments of attacks and almost unanimous negative press.

@vernlaw I really don't have the time to argue this, largely because it's pretty clear and objective that the media's massive unfair treatment of Bernie Sanders is overwhelmingly negative, primarily unethical, and almost certainly fueled by large special interests that don't like the fact that his policies empower the working class and poor. All I can tell you is that if I put in the effort, I guarantee I would post 10-20x the amount of negative stories the media's made about Bernie Sanders than any rare positive ones you can uncover. This is not a competition, your lack of awareness on the matter just tell me you haven't been paying much attention in the past if you actually think there's a chance the media coverage on him could even be close to be considered "Fair" or balanced. That's all I have left to say on the matter, so have a good day.

We shouldn't determine someone's conviction to a policy based on whether they showed up to a single march or not.
