It's more likely closer to tens of trillions (like $17 Trillion) because the study that suggested $2 Trillion didn't take into account that if we kept our current system, it would continue to bubble just as it is now. So the Koch funded study suggests our current system would remain at the same price and over 10 years it would be $32 Trillion over 10 years while Medicare for All would be $30 Trillion, a net savings of $2 Trillion to switch to Medicare for All. However, they don't take into account that, even without Trump sabotaging healthcare the past 2 years, our healthcare prices have continued to rise for a long time now and other research centers have estimated that realistically our current system would increase in price every year and cost a total of $48 Trillion over the next 10 years, which would be a net savings of $18 Trillion if you compare it to the amount the Koch study found for Medicare for All. THAT is how they get $17 Trillion, by using realistic real-market variables to determine the price increases.
