Bernie and Hawley were pushing for stimulus checks for months before Trump finally used it as an excuse (at the 11th hour) to stick it to Mitch McConnell for not claiming Trump won the election. Before Hawley joined together, Bernie was pushing for checks for even longer, starting with the fact that he's proposed $2k continuous monthly checks since basically the beginning of the pandemic. I hope ffs you aren't a leftist that's seriously trying to give Trump credit and downplay everything Bernie & also Hawley did.
