  1. It was an ambush for a reason. CNN and Jake Tapper just made up those numbers (40 Trillion) and then just threw them at Cortez and lied about where he got them. "left-wing studies" my ass. The very first one is from the Mercatus Center and then he just made up the rest. She's never seen those numbers before, so it's hard to just hit back without knowing the full scope of what he's talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even show her the numbers as Jake Tapper put them on the screen. The whole thing was propaganda bullshit just as it was the time before and the time before that and the time Jake Tapper did his nonfactual "fact-check".
