I usually agree with Kyle slightly more than Krystal on these things, but I actually think Krystal is being a little more realistic when she's talking about these approval numbers only mattering in terms of the Republican base, since that's really the battleground for this DeSantis Trump fight in the primary. It's all gonna come down to the GOP base in the end

  2. To be fair to Trump, I think he is a little bit more of a populist than DeSantis (tallest kid in kindergarten though as Kyle likes to say). Trump never fully conformed to the traditional GOP mold and every now and then made decisions that were totally detached from a GOP member like DeSantis. His rhetoric in 2016 even more so. If Trump goes back to talking like he did in 2016, I don't think DeSantis would stand a chance
