Ppl like Michael Tracey, Jimmy Dore, Aaron Mate, Glenn Greenwald are all examples of what happens when you're so anti-Democrat that you spend all your time trying to argue Trump's innocence for Jan 6th. It's so pathetic but I'm sure most of us saw this coming

@anthonywatson6070 Yeah, I kept giving Russell Brand chance after chance as well. I wanted to believe his politics still held his core beliefs associated with love, tolerance, and his personal spirituality, but at a certain point I just had to accept the fact that he had audience capture from his anti-vax and right-wing listeners & now he's sucking off people like Elon Musk and Ron DeSantis, it's so utterly disappointing. Just a few months ago, I saw him talking to David Sirota and making a lot of the same arguments on politics he used to make, but now suddenly he's talking to Tucker Carlson like he's a great man whose simply misunderstood and creating a pipeline to the "anti-establishment" Right, who incidentally push people like Trump who do more for the establishment and billionaires than anyone. It's so maddening to watch this shit.

@jonathanmarkham1998 You make a decent point. In Tracey's case you literally get the sense he's trying to be a massive contrarian just to fit in a lane - it's hard to believe anybody can be this stupid with some of the points he's making. I get those entertainment vibes from Breaking Points as well (I mean their entire show is based off the same thing The View does where you put a right-winger next to a left-winger). This is probably why I always come back to Secular Talk - you can tell Kyle tries to put policy above everything else and even avoids advertisers and refuses to look at Youtube comments cause he's worried about audience capture.

@saymyname5151 I'm not sure I ever saw Jimmy Dore as talking in good faith. Ever since he started overly beating up on Left congressmembers and doing a hands off approach on any and all Republicans, it was pretty obvious he had a counter-productive right-leaning agenda. Crazy how it took people until he literally started defending Jan 6th to realize what a fraud he is. Just makes me think a lot of Leftists are gullible as long as you tell them the Democrats suck
