+Hollowhammer - No, people were outraged by Obama's immigration policy. Where do you think he got the nickname "Deporter-in-Chief"? You think it was right-wingers who gave that to him because they were so angry at Obama for deporting their precious immigrants. Besides, Obama wasn't enacting separating children from their families as blank policy like Trump, which is why you didn't see videos of hundreds of children in cages and the most people can find on "kids in cages" during Obama's term is one picture of a child being detained by border patrol. The people on the right love point this out that "Obama was separating kids and nobody cared" but it's just categorically untrue that children weren't detained past the normal bullshit that border patrol does on a daily basis dating back before the Bush era. In other words, Trump's policy makes detaining children the feature, not the bug. Obama's shitty immigration policy stayed in line with the Flores Settlement agreement for the most part and when border patrol stepped out of line back then, they usually corrected it due to public outrage by the people you're claiming "didn't care". Nowadays border patrol and ICE are more brazen than ever before and have actual legislation (zero-tolerance policy) that forces them to separate kids and detain them and now it makes them detain entire families. You are entirely mislead, and I don't blame you because people have been muddying the waters on this issue since it began.

You need to separate the idea of refusing service to people in general who have a political leaning such as voters and refusing service to people in power who have the ability to change monstrous policy. I don't think anyone agrees with refusing service to someone just because they have a MAGA hat on or a "Make Donald Drumpf Again" hat. Nobody should be refused service just because they're an opinionated voter or patron, but when you refuse service to someone like Dick Cheney, Sarah Huckster, or even Hillary or Obama when they were in power, you are essentially letting people of great power know that their policies and actions are so despised that you're willing to shame them like that in public. I think doing it to people in power who have despised policies (on both right and left) is totally justified, just not okay in the realm of doing it to generic voters and people.

Yeah, but would you serve David Duke if he walked into your shop? Or Dick Cheney as Kyle stated. I mean there's a huge difference between serving an opinionated voter and patron compared to serving someone as monstrous and powerful (politically, in the media, in culture) as someone like Dick Cheney or David Duke. People like that are the direct cause of suffering, hate, anger, violence, and torture and death of innocents. I'm in the camp of people saying "Fuck Dick Cheney, fuck David Duke, fuck Hillary, and fuck Sarah Huckster." They all deserve public shame for their crimes against the American people.
