I am also extremely nihilistic regarding the climate crisis, but I don't let it drive me towards political "Doomerism" or nihilism as a whole, because I still see smaller goals like Medicare and Medicaid expansion as worthwhile causes to stay in the fight (clearly Med4All would be the best option). If you keep expanding Medicare every few years, you'll eventually get to Medicare for Everyone. I guess that's just good enough for me, but yeah, we're totally fucked when it comes to Climate Change - maybe I'll change my opinion of that once half the country isn't actively trying to ensure we sprint towards catastrophic late-stage Climate Change just to 'own the libs'. There's a reason the Doomsday clock is only 100 seconds to midnight, but still, we're not dead yet and people need healthcare.

  2. 6 of them at least for sure do. You can't really consider the majority of the Progressive Caucus as "progressives", the vast majority are well-known fakes and it was a miracle you had even 40 of them block Pelosi for so long on the BIF.

  3. I mean, we should make it a habit to steal the term "centrist" from the neoliberal corporatists so-called "centrists" & "moderates". Leftists nearly always stand where the popular opinion is for policy preference in America. The "centrists"/"moderates" just self-label themselves that because they think being a little less corporate-friendly than the right-wing conservatives should prize them the mantle of "centrism".
