@TrashpandaNVGs Since the US pays twice as much on healthcare than any other country with far worse outcomes (30,000 to 45,000 people dying ever year from lack of healthcare and over 85,000 medical bankruptcies per year), while American citizens get price gouged by a for-profit mafia-like middle man that gets in-between you and your doctor. Insurance companies made $100 billion in profit last year, that's all because you and your loved ones got sick, they price gouged you, and then, in many cases, pulled the rug out from under you, refusing to pay for your treatment when you finally got sick or got cancer. You don't make the "government" argument when it comes to the fire department, because you likely see them as necessary, so why is it so hard to imagine that healthcare should also be taken off the table just as fire and police services are. (just as every other 1st world country does with a Single Payer system).

I understand where Joe is coming from on the bureaucracy aspect, but the thing is that Bernie Sanders is trying to take the bureaucracy out of healthcare. We currently have to fill out forms every year with insurance agencies and doctors have it 100 times worse, which is why so many doctors advocate for Medicare for All. It makes healthcare universal so there is no more paperwork, you walk into a hospital and you get treated, that's it.

It would be a million times better than the garbage reality TV we have with CNN, NBC, and ABC. Those networks aren't qualified to run a preschool talent show.

Somebody needs to explain to Joe that he's worth $25 million and that's not even rich enough to be effected by Bernie's wealth tax. And if you're worth over $32 million, it's just a 1% tax.

I don't think he was saying anything specific, just that he doesn't like bureaucracy, which is a fair point, nobody likes bureaucracy. The thing is though that Bernie is trying to take the bureaucracy OUT of our healthcare system, where you don't have to talk to insurance agencies and fill out dozens of forms every year. Instead, everything is universal; you just walk into a hospital and get treated. Hopefully Joe understands that, it's the reason why so many doctors advocate for Medicare for All, they hate doing the massive amount of paperwork that comes with working with insurance companies.

@bers9593 That's how it's regarded in most countries at least from a public perspective. However, conservatives like the Tories in the UK end up saying they're pro-NHS up-front, but then do the opposite legislatively in office and exceedingly cut social programs and the NHS, I assume to try to sabotage it so they can replace it with more privatized means, something that has been happening more and more in Britain in recent years ever since the Tories became more fringe.
