Pretty sure only Beto O'Rourke, Kamala Harris and Cory Booker are the only ones who support mandatory gun-buybacks on assault rifles and that's because they're the dumbest candidates in the race. Their positions actively harm any chance of passing real gun reforms like background checks, but they don't care because they're only trying to increase their percentage points in the polls. In Beto's case, he's a fucking moron because he's a Congressman in Texas, his career is over after he inevitable loses. I'm a leftist who massively disagrees with Beto, so don't try to gaslight the entire base when the majority don't even agree with him, it's a divisive issue even among Democrats.

I'm a leftist and the fact that Beto O'Rourke came out for straight gun confiscation I thought was the dumbest fucking thing imaginable. The guy is a Congressman in Texas and has tried running for Texas' Senate seat. His political career is over because he wanted to feed his ego so bad and hit 3% in the polls. The guy is beyond embarrassing.

@wadeschalk4599 Pretty sure they said 48% because Ted Cruz only won that Senate race by 2%. He had Donald Trump come down multiple times to campaign for him so the Zodiac Killer wouldn't lose to Beta

@tidefanyankee2428 Federal background checks and expanded background checks. This issue polls above 90% among Americans yet it has still yet to be passed. A federal background check bill was passed by the House this year but the Senate refused to vote on it. Pretty sure a national gun registry and ban on bump stocks also poll very high, not sure what those numbers are though.

@jcannoncraig No offense, but you guys have little knowledge about where these individuals stand and on what issues. Beto is a shill for special interests, he is a neoliberal who grand stands on the issue of guns (probably so he can win an extra percentage point in the polls for his pathetic and limp campaign). AOC, whether you like her or not, she's against corrupting influence in the Dem party and refuses corporate money. This is the main difference and it's a giant one if you know anything about the Dems nowadays, who are basically engaged in a civil war between the corporatists and the populists. Money in politics is the root of all evil and root of nearly every decision made, when Beto accepts it and AOC doesn't, it's a giant difference between their policy positions.

@Bananahammock88 Beto is a corrupt shill who likes to grand stand on guns, probably because NRA money is not a Democratic thing so even the most bought off Democrats can still be as radical as they want on guns. He's a corporatist and neoliberal on all other issues because he accepts corporate money from all other industry, even fossil fuel.
