They'd rather run stories about poor ole Elon Musk and his depressing billionaire lifestyle rather than reporting on how men women and children are being killed every day in Yemen in the worst humanitarian crisis in modern times.

+Benkordy - Elon Musk was born into a wealthy family. Did you not watch the video? If every single person in the world was given a million dollars from the age of 18, how many people do you think would go on to become highly successful? I imagine nearly everyone with a brain can do well in that situation. However, the reality is that 95-99% of children are not born into that type of wealth and have the ability to become rich with huge inheritances. Most people can't even afford to pay for their education.

I've hated Elon Musk for years. He's always come off as a pretentious billionaire who'd rather invest his billions into launching cars into space rather than helping the poor and sick in this country or using his influence to stop foreign warfare. Bill Gates is one of the only billionaires I'd ever give any credit to. If you have more money than the bottom 30% of the US's population, you better be willing to make real change with that wealth as any halfway decent person would do. This is especially true for people like Elon Musk who was born into money and received a large inheritance to start at the 1,000 yard line in life ahead of everyone else. I'm glad David Dole is ripping on this rich fraud.

+Benkordy - I don't think they should be forced to give it up either, but don't you think people who are billionaires should pay a greater percentage in taxes than their secretary or working class people? That's the real issue here, because Warren Buffet at one point proved that no rich CEO could give evidence that they pay less in taxes than their secretaries. The amount of tax loopholes, tax cuts for the wealthy, and all the ways the super rich rig the system to work in their favor ensures that they pay less taxes than the middle class. That's all we really want, for them to pay their "fair share" so the American people can have nice things and lower taxes for small businesses and Americans that work 2 to 3 jobs to live paycheck to paycheck. Those are the people who really need a break and tax cuts.

The point is that Elon Musk agreed to do the piece or may have even offered since he thinks he's having such a hard time in life. It's completely tone deaf to think you're clearly the one suffering in this world when you're one of the wealthiest people alive and dating hot musicians. He didn't get on camera and talk about how other people are likely suffering far more in this economy where wages are lower than ever and people can't afford the inflated housing prices. He got on camera to complain about rich person problems and that's shit that anyone in the US is going to role their eyes over. Anyone who knows what real problems are like, which usually come from not making enough money, knows Elon Musk is full of shit. Imagine if Chris Gardner (Pursuit of Happiness) got on camera and made those same claims that he's "so unhappy right now". It would never happen because that guy's been homeless as a single father before and he knows that's what real despair looks like compared to his current millionaire lifestyle.

+Gene Hendrix - Elon Musk didn't get on camera to talk about real reasons for a person to suffer which IS possible for a rich person such as if your wife dies, your child dies, or if your like Keith Richards and your massively addicted to heroin. He got on camera to talk about how he's working too hard at his multi-billion dollar company that he missed his own brothers wedding and he's sleeping too much with his hot musician girlfriend. Does that sound like suffering to you? Give me a fucking break. If I had his life I would be happy as fuck and I'm just one random person in the world, imagine a person whose homeless, addicted to drugs, or on disabilities/paralyzed for life. The reasoning he gave is just pathetic. Also, we don't like that people become "ultra rich" and then use their money and power to rig the system in their favor, resulting in squishing everyone else on the bottom, which is why wages are lower than ever and more people become homeless every year. And yes, it is why there is a giant wage gap, and people like David Doel and other independent media talk about those politicians all the time. It's the only politicians that they ever throw support behind because everyone else is just WRONG and essentially pro-corruption if they want to keep fueling our corrupt oligarchy that owns our government.
