@mocho7020 Had no idea, but this is actually true. A lot of studies show it's about 40% of cops who are domestic abusers regarding their spouses or kids. These people are high on a power trip, & that makes them unstable and dangerous towards other people.

You could tell he knew he made a horrible decision once he walked up to the car, but instead of being a decent human & helping her out of the car/asking if she's okay, he doubles down and starts berating her over his own massive fuckup. The first thing these cops think about isn't how to help civilians, but how to cover their own chickenshit asses.

NoChance WithoutPasta Pretty sure it was the guns & unlimited freedom/impunity that turned them into domestic abusers in the first place (or at least helped lead them to become abusers). Just like how prison guards go mad with power when given complete control over another person's life, the same thing happens to police officers who suddenly perceive themselves as being the ultimate authority in the world & believing they are now above the law. It's no wonder that a huge percentage of them then go home and beat their children or spouse when they presumably believe their spouse or kid 'steps out of line' or doesn't obey the wishes of the self-perceivable head/master of the family. Then again, they could just be pieces of garbage that are drawn to a job perfectly suited for pieces of garbage.

@merchillio More than likely, that 40% is primarily reported by the abused families or recorded once the spouse finally separates & tries do something about the abusive relationship, but the point remains. Many spouses may go their entire lives without reporting it.
