  1. Are you black? Because if someone did that to me & I was a black man in America, I would likely see it as a threat against my life. I'm a white man, & I already consider it a threat in some aspect considering cops have always encroached on my rights my entire life. There's no point ever calling the cops because literally every time I've ever dealt with them, they've either harassed me or been completely useless (refused to do anything). The mafia is probably more help/less of a threat than the police.

  2. Yeah. In America, the "best case scenario" is when you get threatened at gunpoint in your own home but at least don't get murdered in front of your kids.

  3. I agree that race comes into play with this (I've never had a gun held at me before as if I were just a threat by default), but I've always had cops encroaching on my rights even in my own home. I've had cops enter my home following paramedics when someone in my family needed an ambulance (nobody asked for cops) & they just started snooping around & opening drawers because they could smell weed from my room. I had the same thing happen when I got a noise complaint & a cop just pushed his way into the house past my friend, looking around until he found cannabis. He started detaining everyone in the house until I came out of my room (I was sleeping) & showed him my medical Marijuana card & he finally pissed off. These people are just looking for excuses to put people away whether they deserve it or not.
