  2. I can't believe some people are now saying "Facebook and Youtube" should be public utilities. First of all, Internet and telecommunication companies aren't even close to being public utilities yet and those are far more important in being public utilities so what the fuck are people talking about here? Secondly, Facebook didn't even exist a few years ago, before Facebook was Myspace and before myspace was xanga or something, and besides Facebook, you now have instagram, twitter, and many many more. Are you going to make all of them public utilities? What about my website? You're going to make all websites a public utility? This is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard from the left and I consider myself a progressive.

  4. +Evan W. Craig - Power, phone, and now Internet access are common necessities for people, thus why they're "public utilities". Are Facebook, Youtube, Twitter suddenly necessities for people? This argument is absolutely ridiculous. I own 2 websites myself. Where does it stop? Because if you're going to make YT, fb, and twitter public utilities, what about instagram? What about Google? If you get Google, you'll have to take Bing. This is a badly thought out idea and I heard Kyle Kulinski say that yesterday, it's absolutely retarded because you're essentially just seizing companies that are not and should not be necessities for people. You do NOT need social media to live your life especially since there are dozens of them to choose from nowadays.
