  1. I think that's the vast majority of the "controversy" regarding the video. It's not about Mr. Beast specifically, it's about people angry at the system and all Mr. Beast did was inadvertently expose how fucked that system is.

  2. I think the majority of the "controversy" was more about anger towards the system and not targeted at Mr. Beast specifically. If anything, Mr. Beast exposed just another facet of how broken the US healthcare system really is. At least, that is the core of the outrage no matter how diff people may articulate it or how some may inaccurately target the wrong person in that debate.

The reactions on Twitter are mainly just an instance of "don't shoot the messenger", where Mr. Beast just happens to be the messenger, but the real cause for people's outrage is undoubtedly how the US healthcare system is utter trash and we paywall something as common sense as a 10 minute surgery so people can see again.
