I'm actually totally fine with AoT's inconsistent episode count per season. It makes sense when you actually think about it. It's telling a specific story the way it needs to and putting a time constraint on each season just leads to unnecessary filler or bad pacing. Honestly, I think more shows should do this - make the series as long or short as it needs to be to tell the story the way it should be told.
