@mattb6646 Some of their failures, I even take personal offense to. Dogshit shows like Locke and Key, which have incredible source material just make it seem like they're not even trying at all.

They were hemorrhaging money already, but it honestly would've been less disastrous for them to just raise their monthly rates than this clown show of a decision

@HotCrossJuns My bad, I meant they were losing subscribers in the 100s of thousands. I guess they've managed to continue increasing their revenue despite that until just recently (a fact I didn't know), likely because they have increased their monthly rates numerous times. I agree with you, it was totally unnecessary. They see one quarter of decline and go into emergency mode, it's completely idiotic and only going to backfire + shatter their stock price. I'm sure they've seen the signs for awhile now that they were headed towards a decline and this was their half-assed contingency plan for that eventuality. Just greed on top of greed & trying to stay at the top of the food chain.

This is absolutely going to ruin their popularity. Those 100 million people using some other user's login credentials are part of the reason Netflix has so much influence. If they had to do some kind of change, it should've been to just add advertisements to the extra logged in user whose accessing it for free. I mean, advertising is dogshit, but people would've accepted it far more than this.
