Because they're trying to start a war and the media is too useless to actually do their job (or they secretly approve of a war with Iran). Also nobody is talking about how the Iraqi government made a statement that the Trump administration called for a meeting with Soleimani. Soleimani was literally going to Iraq because he believed it was a meeting to discuss ramping down tensions between the Iran-Saudi conflict. He was literally going there for a peace mission that Trump and the Saudis called for and then the US drone strikes him in Iraq. You think that's a coincidence?

@zohrasalim5177 The report is from the Pentagon and if you read the actual briefing it's all 'allegedly'. It literally just says the Pentagon "believes Iran has helped kill more than 600 U.S. troops in Iraq since 2003". Just like how the Pentagon "believed Iraq has WMDs". Nobody should fall for this shit twice, especially while we're STILL in our last two 18-year long wars.

Gary R Wow so I just did more research into your claim and it's even more bullshit than I could've imagined. The "Pentagon" and Pompeo, a known warmonger along with John Bolton, are trying to claim that they "believe 600 Americans were killed in Iraq since 2003 with the help of Iran". Their claim is that possibly maybe Iran helped train Shia fighters that fought back in 2003 during he height of the Iraq War. So not only did Iran or more accurately Soleimani, not kill anyone, the Pentagon only THINKS (with no concrete evidence at all) that Iran maybe helped train Shia fighters that fought in Iraq during the Iraq War. How much farther can you fucking reach. Amazing how the Washington Examiner took this BS non-evidence source and lied that the 600 deaths took place over "the last few months", totally lying based on what their source says. Again, tell me when you find those WMDs in Iraq, but you better hurry because their Democracy (that we spread to them in the Iraq War) just voted unanimously to kick the US out their country.

It comes from a vague press briefing by the Pentagon saying that they THINK Iran helped train Shia fighters back in 2003 that later participated in the Iraq War. There's literally no evidence attached to the statement. There aren't any names of these Shia fighters, there's no mention of how they somehow went from Iran to fight in Iraq. It's total bullshit, same as the WMDs the Pentagon told us about back in 2002. Not to mention the Washington Examiner takes the concept of Iran training Shia fighters that maybe fought in Iraq in 2003 and call it "Iran killed 600 Americans in the last few months". Not only is there no evidence, but they took the briefing and lied about it to make it sound current and far more extreme/direct. Don't fall for this shit. It's just neocons banging the wardrum, the media too stupid and ineffectual to do their job correctly (just like with the Iraq War), and then you have useful idiots regurgitating this nonsense so why? @keionchase2144 The Iraqi government made a formal statement and so did the Iraqi Prime Minister. It's why their protesting has ramped up considerably after the attack, and it's also why their Parliament voted unanimously to kick all US troops out of the country. Some of the Iraq government's own leaders & public figures were killed in the drone strike as well. @sherylF5610 Sorry, I don't mean to lob you in with the useful idiots beating the war drum (you're not), but when people start their sentences with "he was a bad guy but...", you're only helping to validate their dumb arguments that this drone strike was somehow righteous or necessary when we literally just assassinated a general on a peace mission and created an international crisis. The media (and many Democrats) are doing the same thing and it's insanely ineffectual in terms of 'resisting' this madness and the massive crisis Trump has caused. They're essentially agreeing with their premise that he was a 'bad guy' that needed to be taken out. When they have Dems & media saying this, they can then turn around and say "well you agree with us that he was a bad guy so what's the problem?" The media did this same thing with the Iraq War, when they blindly just accepted the Pentagon's bogus claim that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, something that was equally as unproven as what they're claiming now with the "600 Americans Iran helped kill since 2003", a non-proven stat that, for some reason, they're only bringing up this year since they've started to try to ramp up tensions. You even have Mike Pence now going out there and, I shit you not, is saying Iran was somehow behind 9/11. It's good he broke with Trump on this, but the fact that he still supports Trump after this should tell you everything you need to know about him. I saw his segment, he tried to deflect blame away from Trump, when Trump is the primary person behind this entire crisis.

Even IF he was a "bad guy" (and that's an 'if'), so was Saddam Hussein, was it okay to invade a fucking country and start a war just to murder him? Have you people learned nothing from our 18-year long forever wars in the Middle East. Wars in that region just destabilize the region even more and lead to LESS safety in US national security, not to mention massive numbers of refugees from these countries. Default Name I do not like Obama and think he was a terrible president, but in terms of the Middle East, he actually tried to destabilize the region by creating the Iran Nuclear Deal. It was probably the biggest things I give him credit for. The deal was flawless that allowed UN investigators to do surprise investigations whenever they wanted to and it was literally working before Trump destroyed it and 100% caused this crisis we're experiencing now. Even AFTER Trump broke the deal and lobbied crippling sanctions on Iran's economy, they STILL abided by the deal with the UK, Russia and others. It wasn't until Trump pushed them over the edge by assassinated their top general and extremely popular public figure, that they have now stated they will be enriching Uranium, making us all LESS safe now thanks to this shit going on.
