Idk what backing he lost from Republicans, but Yang and anyone else who endorsed Biden in the primary has basically dug a political grave for themselves from ever receiving support from the Left again. It's like when Warren backed Hillary in 2016 over Bernie Sanders, she never had a chance at winning in 2020 once most left-wing populists already labeled her as a sellout and a snake. Nobody is ever going to forget how Yang & Gabbard backed a warmongering corporatist like Joe Biden when they could've either backed Bernie or nobody at all.
