Comments by "" (@thehumanity0) on "Julian Castro questions Bernie Sanders’ skepticism for reparations" video.
@LifeWithCrispyy And not even supporting real reparations. Look at what these candidates are talking about as "a form of reparations" and it's the furthest thing from reparations.

"Some form of reparations" aka NOT reparations. Literally none of the candidates actually support reparations yet are using this issue to attack Bernie with. The fucking hypocrisy with these politicians and the media.

@rononeal480 Bernie wants to end systemic racial inequality with a BOLD policy to tackle poverty in general (an issue that disproportionately effects minority communities). Obama was president for 8 years, and never talked about it once when he wasn't campaigning and pandering for votes, now you want to believe that people like Julian Castro and Kamala Harris are for some reason not just doing the same thing as Obama, when in reality neither of them even support reparations! Look at what they're alluding to and it's the furthest thing from reparations. You take naivete to a whole new level my friend. There's a reason why the establishment is attacking Bernie every instance they get just as they did with FDR and MLK Jr. when they both tried to fight poverty in America.

Herbal Shaman Yes and it effected all minorities, not just ancestors of slaves. You have Haitian Americans, Dominican Americans, Cuban Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and many more who won't see a dime of real reparations, not the faux-reparations Castro, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker are pedaling trying to call "reparations". Booker is literally just referring to baby bonds and Harris and Castro are NOT referring to actual reparations. It's a trick so people like you will attack Bernie for them.

@rononeal480 That's not true at all. MLK Jr. spent the last years of his life fighting class inequality (for all races) because he knew the best way to fix the ailments of the black community was to fix systemic inequality and injustices that disproportionately effect the poor. MLK's platform and demands were a dignified job for all, guaranteed housing, and decent wages for all. His march on Washington wasn't just the "Freedom March", it was "The Jobs and Freedom March". Bernie Sanders just happened to be there as well, so who do you think has a better understanding of MLK's goals and vision when you can't even understand that the problems of the black community (and all minority communities) are closely tied to the systemic inequality and injustices that attribute to the gross levels of class inequality we have in this country today. https://theundefeated.com/features/lets-not-forget-martin-luther-king-jr-was-preaching-economic-justice-too/

Isn't it strange how the establishment and media are having this heated conversation on "anti-semitism" after Ilhan Omar criticizes money in politics and Israeli lobbying groups and NOT after Trump said "good people on both sides". It's very telling, isn't it?

@jesteravrgjoe2888 Yeah, it would SAVE $5.1 Trillion. Do you have any idea how much our current ineffective system costs? It's the most expensive system in the world with the worst outcomes in the civilized world.
1
@jesteravrgjoe2888 No, the goal is to REPLACE it with a system that Works, not one that only exists to make money for greedy insurance companies and for-profit pharmaceutical companies that price-gouge Americans. Medicare for All REPLACES our current fucked-up system that leaves anywhere from 30,000 to 45,000 deaths a year from lack of access to healthcare. These deaths do NOT exist in other countries with a universal system.

You really gotta re-analyze your understanding of what is "far-left". CNN are establishment centrist shills whose supported policies are closer to Republican-Lite than anything, and I mean establishment Republican-Lite not Trumpian faux-populist Republican.
1
@stanwilson7040 So is Bernie not the "far-left"? Because they do tedious nonstop hit-pieces against him every single day. You're literally commenting on a video where they're casually smearing Bernie and putting it in the title. CNN is realistically a propaganda machine for centrist Democrats and the establishment. They have an establishment bias and would most likely rather see Donald Trump as president than Bernie Sanders, because at least Trump gives them giant tax cuts whereas Bernie would make CNN and Time Warner pay their fair share. The idea that CNN is for The Green New Deal is laughable, they've been shitting on it ever since it came out even though it has overwhelming approval in the polls.

@stanwilson7040 Who the fuck said I was a millennial? Yeah, Bernie is "dangerous" because he wants to give healthcare to your family, a living wage for workers, and affordable housing so the market isn't over-inflated by foreign investors that don't even live in the US. I didn't expect a rational answer from you, not sure why i'm even responding.
