  1. I think this example shows how many people in Russia still believe that the father state knows everything and acts for them so as not to have to think for themselves. They want all-round care, like in communist times, so they choose whoever they think is the strongest warrior to protect them. That is the reason for Putin's power, he is the father of this country who takes care of his flock and tells them where to go and what to do. Putin wants to bring his people back to the USSR, where they didn't have to think for themselves and so everything was nice and easy. They see Putin as their protector and provider, like a father, and therefore only trust him. Putin blames the liberal world, the collective West and the US for the problems in the country that Putin and his regime caused, which is why Russians are fighting the West and hoping for a glorious and better life in the Soviet Union. Anyone who disagrees with the desire for an ideal USSR world is an enemy, a traitor and a threat. For most Russians, freedom only means free consumption of all consumer goods and being supplied by the state, but not freedom of expression, which contradicts Putin's regime. Therefore, other people living in democratic countries cannot believe these stories about dirt roads, decaying public buildings, or villages whose houses have no running water. There, politicians are measured by the condition of public buildings or infrastructure and voted out if they are not good enough. Every homeowner is responsible for the standard and compliance with legal requirements for private homes.
