It would have been a deal if Trump had demanded the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine and in return for the resumption of gas transit through Ukraine and if the compensation from Russia had been lower and a cheaper price for the rare earths had been negotiated. Orban and Fico will want to blackmail Ukraine into joining NATO or the EU. The right-wing extremist faction is unscrupulous and loves the war criminal Putin. Now it's just a protection racket from the victim.
