  3. As a Canadian, I can assure you that rust is highly preventable if owners can actually be BOTHERED to rustproof their vehicle. My car has gone through 17 salty winters and is as solid as the day it left the factory due to its annual visit to Krown rustproofing. There may well be other rustproofing companies which are just as good but I have never used them.

  4. I cannot speak for the South but in the Salt Belt your choice is rustproofing or rust.

  5. I am from Canada and I drive a 17 year old, rust free Pontiac Vibe that was made in California. Rustproofing in the Salt Belt is a necessary as routine maintenance like changing oil. If owners cannot make the time to do the necessary preventative maintenance then they end up with the rusty car they deserve.

  9. I live in Ontario. Rust is a common factor in every vehicle owned by someone in the Salt Belt who can't be bothered to get it rustproofed.
