  1. Merry Christmas AMD, Team CCN and Subscribers! Never, and I mean never, in world history has there been more suspense and excitement surrounding the purchase of a new ......Camry. AMD, from the tone of your voice I can sense how you agonized about the Avalon Hybrid (which was my guess) but I am still thrilled you put your money where your mouth is and bought the American-made and highly efficient Camry Hybrid instead. When The Most Famous Toyota Mechanic in the World™ buys the Hybrid model, you know they are the top choice. I just wish David from Automotive Press could have been there for the initial delivery inspection. Come to think of it, I am sure Toyota Jeff would have liked to cash the commission check for that new Camry ;-) Happy Trails. :D

  8. We have been begging him to take it to Krown or another reputable rustproofing company. My 2005 Vibe has been to Krown for 17 annual applications but I know there are other alternatives that will do the job as well.

  12. I own a cloned Matrix which was a couple thousand more than the Yaris at the time I bought it. Your Yaris and my Vibe may not share the luxury, power and prestige of the LS but they do share the QDR which is the most important ingredient in the Toyota recipe book.

  14. Interesting, we have two vehicles in the family made in Toyota's California, USA factory which they sadly abandoned in 2010. The fit and finish on both is perfect.

  15. I changed the factory oil in my Toyota engine around 1,000 km. When it reached the first official oil change interval I switched to Amsoil top spec synthetic and stuck to the recommended intervals throughout the 5 year warranty period. I am now in the 12th year of following Amsoil's own Severe Service oil change intervals. In my case that means 15,000 miles or once a year whichever comes first.
