AMD, This must be the same Camry rental car that recently set the land speed record at Bonneville. I guess we don't have to ask whether Toyota sells crate engines.

@TheCarCareNut I hate to admit I ever watched the show but I think this Camry beat the world record that Top Gear set in New Zealand a few years back with a 1.6 liter rental Corolla.

@yunus_aros Best of luck with your Subaru. The exclusively front wheel drive Scion xD came with a 1.8 litre petrol engine. There were two choices of transmission, the 4 speed auto or 5 speed manual.

@yunus_aros Over here that 1.33 engine only came in the short-lived Scion IQ which got about the same mpg as the larger Yaris with the 1.5 engine. I like the Yaris Verso but it was never offered here.
