  8. You raise some interesting concerns. Toyota has been mass producing 3 cylinder engines for Asia and Europe for quite a long time. They are installed in cars like the regular Yaris and Aygo. I am unaware of any chronic issues. On the other hand, I would not touch a Nissan, Mitsubishi etc. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 cylinder engine with a ten foot pole. Let's check back in 5-10 years to see how this relatively new G16E-GTS turbo 3 is holding up. 😁

  28. I cannot answer your question about the specific transmission but I have had 18 years on my 5 speed manual transmission without issues. I use Amsoil lubricant which is the best on the market and change it in 5 year intervals. My transmission holds 2 quarts and it takes 15 minutes to change the gear oil.
