  1. It is interesting to see the what people have to do to prevent rust. In my case, I set aside an hour on a sunny summer day for an annual visit to the local Krown Rustproofing shop. In its 20th Ontario winter, my car is as solid as the day it left the factory. 😉

  2.  @AmosDohms  My car is washed in spring, summer and fall. Once I apply a coat of paste wax to the paint in October, only the rain will wash it until the following spring. I am sure it would not hurt to wash it during the winter but I don't want to spend the money when it will be sprayed in salty residue immediately. In essence, Krown is a water repellent that prevents the salty slush from contacting the metal underneath the car . The paste wax does the same for the top side of the car.
