  3. Chinese companies get the contracts for BRI projects. They employ Chinese labour for the infrastructure. The money borrowed from China, flows straight back to China, leaving only a debt behind. The locals don't get employment, but are responsible for the debt. You have completely missed a core part of the criticism of the project. This is key to why the debts don't provide anything to the nation's involved, other than provide China with global infrastructure. This story has gaping holes, that miss many of the key talking points. Disappointing.
