@ti3167 Reasonable? What you describe sounds like paranoia from watching the news. The protesters broke down a gate and went on a private companie's property, not these home owners property. Just because your imagination tells you someone MIGHT do something doesn't make it reasonable to point a gun at someone with your finger on the trigger, or to walk around with the safety off. Sure, get your guns ready, and stay inside for safety if you really feel the need, but to describe this as reasonable has clear flaws.

Matthew Neddeau Are you suggesting you would go outside and confront and threaten them? Or would you be more like all the other residents in the community and remain sheltered? Me, I am waiting inside. Be assured, I am waiting not hiding.

@ti3167 There is nothing reasonable about pointing a gun at someone, with your finger on the trigger, while holding it in a way that will break your own face if you actually fired it. She is a danger to herself and others. Something doesn't have to be illegal to be stupid. EDIT If they shot someone, while outside the home, it may well have caused them legal problems.

@ti3167 What part of what I wrote leads you to think I agree with the people breaking in, or think that was reasonable? That's quite a leap you make there. Did you ever consider I think everyone was at fault in some way here? Just because I disagree with the break in does not mean I instantly defend these actions. Staying in their house, and being prepared was far more sensible. Why inflame the situation, unless that is your goal?

Matthew Neddeau I would hope you would be smart enough to stay inside and protect yourself, rather than confront a mob and inflame the situation - just as the other residents of the community did. At least you can now consider calmly, what would be the best course of action if you do encounter this situation. At least we can take something positive from it.
