@ThePurplePassage It would take less typing to name a spot as asked...not theory. We don't have comparable containment as your example of nature provided.
1
@ThePurplePassage I am not aware of any serious scientists that suggest setting off a slow uncontrolled nuclear reaction unprotected underground as a means to deal with waste...because it happened in nature once that we found. I would be happy to be proved wrong.
1
@ThePurplePassage If that isn't what you mean, how is a naturally occurring nuclear reaction supposed to help with long term storage. I was merely pointing out the absurdity of using that natural phenomenon as a response to a long term storage solution location. What exactly did you mean by bringing it up then?
1
@jesan733 1. Nope, long term storage for anyone other than Finland doesn't exist. Your word salad won't change that. Fact available in this video. 2. Yeah, we all are stupid enough to believe a for profit company happily put aside cash that will last 100,00 years for rubbish collection. You clearly think everyone reading this is an idiot...or you are - maybe both but at least one of those. 3. Just lies. 4. Oh look. You have nothing. Not even justification and I left you resorting to insults instead. 5. And yet, it still considered by smart people to be what intelligent species would do. 6. I point out current geopolitical dangers, and you say that. Is that what you have been reduced to? Is that your genius response? When I used to mention "5 mile island" people would say it is safer now. Then "Chernobyl"...they said that's old we fixed it issues like that. Now it will be safe. So Fukishima happened...oh that's just a rare freak thing that will never really happen, but did happen. Now, Zaporizhzhia. If I mention that I am a Putin apologist. You nuclear religion priest really do like to spin spin spin
1
@jesan733 I didn't mention it because I thought it was common knowledge, but the sun DOES in fact shine on the Earth at all times...because it's a globe.
1
Does this mean that intelligent life makes up part of the shortest path to high entropy?
1
@fubarpie Fair call. Perhaps it should say "complex life"
1
Quantum physics explains why no 2 witnesses can ever give matching statements - they can't observe the same state.
1
They are not struggling. It is a choice. Those running corporations don't know how to build anything. They only know cost cutting for profits.
1
How many did I know...? Well, actually...
1
Why do we pretend climate change deniers are all over a certain age? That is ageist and ignorant simultaneously.
1
Is the box an observer?
1
Those 2 things don't have to be mutually exclusive. (not a comment on Hawking)
1
So the universe is a Tardis balloon. Got it.
1
@RailTV01 Have you never heard of pumped hydro power? Really?
1
@RailTV01 Look them up before you try to talk from authority on a subject you know nothing about.
1
@RailTV01 Look it up...and avoid embarrassing yourself further. You are trying way too hard on a subject you clearly don't know anything about.
1
@seriousandy6656 Nuclear and coal plants are so pretty
1
Time for NACO. North Atlantic Climate Organisation. That is where this issue was created until they outsourced climate change.
1
If I fly at you at 75% of the speed of light, and you fly at me at 75% of the speed of light, then how fast do we appear to each other?
1
Coins are weighted on one side, due to a pattern or design. Cheating in 2-Up is done by adding weight to one side of the coin. Was this factor considered?
1
Both. Eastern Australia does the forest, while central Australia does the solar for India and Europe.
1
@pavelsulc2617 Why is it more sustainable than using the sun as an energy producer? Seriously...that is obviously just plain wrong. The fuel on earth WILL run out. It's just another finite resource.
1
@DatFrooken He can believe what he likes, but when he broadcasts it as fact to millions, then it becomes an issue. I am glad he came around after years. Now we wait for him to catch up on his other misconceptions. ... and I never said he was an a hole
1
I want to see slits behind the slits. 🤔
1
How old are you? Not all deniers are boomers, huh Help big oil to divide and conquer. Is it intentional?

We are our own great filter

Way to annihilate the premise of hundreds of YT videos. Hmmm...is the an anti-video ?
1
This assumes a lack of evidence is evidence.
1
@emiljunvik3546 Probability tells us not to assume their isn't these things.
1
@emiljunvik3546 It tells us our observations are so limited that it is impossible to draw the conclusion that we are the only intelligent life form in the universe contemplating the question of existence. The probability of us being the only intelligent life form, even limiting it to the observed universe in non- zero. Edit Our observations tell us intelligent life is a possibility, and that there is a consistency to the physics of the universe.

12:56 If you go to an international climate summit, you will find North American, and EU representatives trying to convince you that Australia is a huge global carbon contributor. The big scam. US and EU trying to convince the world that they are not majority responsible - now outsourcing their carbon production and then blaming those nations they are exploiting. Clearly, this is a northern hemisphere driven issue.
1
The US are building fabrication factories, then the US will no longer need Taiwan and therefore drop all support.
1
The waste is only tiny... let's make more. Genius. Still, there is no long-term storage. Still, after 50 years. But, they will get to it. We trust corporations to do it right. They won't leave it to the tax payers for decades. We can find more deaths happen from something else, so we compare it to those as if it makes it acceptable.
