  1. It does produce radioactive waste. The containment vessel will always have trace Uranium and other elements, that will become radioactive waste when the vessel is replaced. This is one of the big lies in this process. Sure, it is much better than everything we have, but keep it real. Edit That is without the issue of the fuel for a fusion reactor, and production of that fuel.
