Possibility 3. The plane was remote hack hijacked. Ransom was demanded, and they didn't pay. The loss was a proof of concept. It's a cover up.

@Dylan_Sterling Any system built by man can be defeated by man. I don't think it is what happen - it's a joke. But to claim it is impossible is just plain wrong.

@Dylan_Sterling Give access to the plane to DefCon, and by the end of the weekend Boeing will know many of the security holes they need to fix. Edit "next to impossible" I can agree with - but it's not impossible.
