Putin funded the insurrection in the east of Ukraine. He thought he was weakening the Ukranian forces. Instead, they were getting trained in full combat situations, and even rotated troops to ensure more were trained. Putin paid to train the Ukranian forces in full combat conditions, against his best contractors. Then sent in conscripted troops thinking he had weakened Ukraine. Kind of ironic. Edit typo

Judging by the employment numbers, I am not surprised people are looking for things to do. If COVID was handled properly, then people would be back at work and not showing frustration with the lack of leadership.

Because the infrastructure isn't available to deal with it. They know hundreds of thousands, even millions will die...they just can't have it all at once. The effects need to be spread over time so they can deal.

@GOD719 He did a toothless ban. As long as Chinese people entered via any other country, they could still arrive. Any other nationality was able to travel from China to the US. It was a toothless PR stunt that achieved nothing significant. Blame the Democrats all you like, but Trump was in charge while the US reaction to COVID became a case study on what not to do in a pandemic...in real time. He was in charge when the US messed up the response. Whataboutism all you like. It won't change what medical science will learn from the failure.
