"we need the raw materials, you have the raw materials" Said as if she thinks she is entitled to the resources. Arrogance!

@theklrdudeoo9173 Do you really think that these farms begin producing immediately? In this time, they can start processing. The point is Ghana is fully within their rights to say they wish to value add to their products. Just because someone wants to buy it, doesn't mean they have to sell. My point is this lady sounding like she believes she is entitled to it. She sounds truly entitled. Your point is irrelevant once you recognise Ghana is the one entitled to decide what happens to Ghana's produce.

That feel they don't need to learn....so they won't listen

@BR-it2qe You disgust me.

@eufrosniad994 What part of what I wrote made you think I didn't know Switzerland was already a large consumer of Ghana's (and others) beans? Knowing that the Swiss make chocolate isn't some great hidden knowledge you have discovered. Saying I don't know enough, isn't an argument on it's own. The fact that they have always had access to the produce is part of the reason for a sense of entitlement. What I do understand is that they had been told this, then sent an envoy anyway in expectation of reversing the decision. They had to be told in person, and even then, this is the press conference. How many times do they need to be told be they realise they are not entitled to it? Whether or not it is a good idea is for Ghana to decide. No one else.
1
@eufrosniad994 Really? You can't be stupid enough to believe I think they were getting it for free, can you? Is that your point?
1
@eufrosniad994 The entitlement comes from expecting them to sell just because you want to buy. Credit where it is due. You proved me wrong, as I asked. I didn't realise anyone could be that stupid. If it's not for sale, then demanding they sell because you have money is arrogant and entitled. Can you really not understand the difference?
1
@eufrosniad994 If the shop decides to close, do you and a group of mates drive down there and demand they sell the stock they have? The arrogance of failing to recognise the entitlement. I am not sure which is worse.
1
@eufrosniad994 So are we supposed to believe that these diplomats just happened to be in the area and popped past Ghana in hopes of picking up a couple of bags of cocoa beans. Wtf are you talking about? The best part is when you think I am the one making up foolish statements.
1
@eufrosniad994 The only reason you would send someone to try to convince someone to sell you something they have already told you that they don't want to sell...is the sense of entitlement. Did we get there?
1
@eufrosniad994 They said no. It doesn't matter that you need it...you are not entitled to it. ACCEPT IT! You are on a video specifically designed to highlight the entitled arrogance, and you STILL want to argue it doesn't exist. The irony isn't lost on me though. Would be funny if it wasn't so real.
1
@eufrosniad994 You do realise the only reason the politicians are involved is because they knew Ghana already said no? Right? It's not like they coincidentally just happened to mention it at the wrong time. The politicians were sent by business like good guard dogs. They all think they are entitled.
1
@eufrosniad994 Negotiations start when there is a common goal. These are competing goals. You don't start negotiating when someone flatly tells you it's not for sale. "We have money..." isn't worth much if someone isn't selling. I can't believe your really have that much trouble recognising the issue. You shouldn't advertise that this confuses you.
1
@eufrosniad994 Someone knocked on my door, wanting my vintage car. I said, it's not for sale. He said, you have the car, and I have the money. I laughed and shut the door. Negotiations. If I was a politician I would have had to be more polite.
1
@eufrosniad994 You have convinced me of one thing... Dunning-Kruger
1
@eufrosniad994 I know I am not in the business of selling vintage cars....THAT'S WHY IT'S NOT FOR SALE. I value add to the car myself. See the comparison? How do you get so confused by the concept?
1
@eufrosniad994 It seems you learn as slowly as the lady in the video. She needed to be told many times before she realised what was in front of her the whole time too.

@eufrosniad994 Thanks for taking the time to tell us you aren't going to take the time. Now I am convinced of your genius.

@Gringottone I have not said I expect Ghana to thrive or fail in their endeavours. I gave no predictions. I don't even have an opinion as to whether I think they should do it or not. I am not cheering either way. That said, I get the feeling you and I agree on the idea that it is entirely Ghana's decision to make. My point goes further than that, by saying anyone who refuses to respect that, expecting to just plop money down and take the raw produce, simply because they have done so in the past, and they have money now, seems very entitled. Why does a politician need to get involved when private companies have been told "Not for sale"? That's arrogance. Edit spelling

@eufrosniad994 Thanks for coming back again. It must have been important to you, for you to come back again after telling us in your previous post that you don't have time to post. Motivated!
