That was so she had a defence against perjury. That statement was being read from a sworn deposition, so if she admitted in court it was a lie then that is a slam dunk perjury...so she pretends to use the words synonymously.

@gideonandrasi I am not claiming it is a good idea, or one that will work. Once she put herself in that position, it will take something obscure to get out of it.
