Yeah, carriers just sit still anchored solidly and do nothing while attacked and boarded. Seems legit.

@djinghiskhan9199 Where have you been hiding lately?
8
Luan Pham They have to get it from somewhere...and they prefer to eat those particular fish types. Why should they take from UK sovereign waters?
4
I am no military strategist but may I suggest it is a bad strategy to use ground troops against battleships and carriers in the open ocean.
3
Gap I am not sure how it can be glorious if it's not even possible - that just sounds like you are trying WAY too hard to upset people, and looking foolish doing it. If you are going to troll successfully, you probably don't want to highlight that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The reactor may go into meltdown, but there will be no big explosion.
3
@kelvinw7801 Australia was prosperous long before Mao was starving his people and building unsafe dams. We don't need China. They just buy all the excess resources that Australia produces but doesn't require for use. That's why the trade surplus exists. During a time of a global food shortage, and the UN handing out money so nations can look for food imports, it seems a good time for Australian farmers to be free of the trade agreements, so they can get even better prices. Many farmers are starting to realise the benefits of China breaking the agreement at this time - and the farners don't look like the bad guys when they sell to others at a better price.
3
Totally capable of self sufficiency, registering record trade surplus. Australia will be fine.
3
Russia invaded Ukraine. You have it backwards. Now the Ukraine people fight to defend their homes from aggressive invaders.
3
Why is Australia supposed to work in China's best interests? They work on their own best interests.
3
Gap That's not how it works.
2
We know it is the government and oligarchs and NOT the people of Russia. Good luck.
2
Australia provides the material for China's growth, and now they want Australia to bend to their will. Let them get upset that Australia laughed at it.
2
@kelvinw7801 Australia don't want China to bend to their will. The CCP mouthpiece literally said they are upset because Australia won't work in China's best interests...hypocrisy.
2
@Bk6346 What has Australia done that needs to simmer down? China is the one telling Australia what telecommunications they MUST buy. China is the one breaking trade agreements, based on emotion. What exactly has Australia done? I'll wait...you will dodge the question.
2
@sadekgheidan No conflict is desirable. The end.
2
This didn't explain anything about what the plan entails. It's just an advert about removing internet freedoms - as if that's what people will want.
2
Exactly. That is why Australia is not interested in serving China's will. China needs to shut the f up. Free the Uighurs
2
@sadekgheidan Every country has made developments. But telling what is theoretically possible and hinting that these kind of numbers actually exist sounds more like an advert. If you want to obfuscate the simple fact that securing and hold stationary that floating lump was possibly the most impressive part of that, go ahead.
2
@sadekgheidan Yes...like I said, Iran can bomb a stationary object.
2
@sadekgheidan And the Air base was an attack. It showed absolutely nothing about an ability to defend. Actually, it showed butthurt.
2
@Ghostrider-zr5xp Neither side could. Russia needs help too
2
@YOLO8TR And Australia provided a massive percentage of the raw materials to do it. Deserves respect.
2
@LoC28C How has Australia antagonised China? Do tell? By deciding not to buy a specific product from a so called private company?
2
@LoC28C Australia provided a great deal of the raw material used to lift China out of poverty. They couldn't have done it alone. That deserves respect.
2
@YOLO8TR I didn't say additional thanks was needed. Why make stuff up just to argue with it? I simply pointed out that Australia has been a good friend while China has seen growth. Please stop adding racism to the argument, based on nothing but wumao script. Pathetic. Again, what has Australia ever done to harm China, that you need to behave this way? Stop dodging the question.
2
lexisfer.m People are choosing to fight for their freedom from invasion.
2
What do you mean? The US anchor carriers close to Iran and then abandon them of all personnel and defensive capabilities all the time. This is realistic.
1
@davecue2 I was just being sarcastic is all. This is nothing more than PR, not a training exercise.
1
@sinarmajupitstop1221 It is patently inaccurate, unless you selectively edit history.
1
@whotookmyurl We are free to collect all the information from any source and decide for ourselves, and even criticise if we disagree. It's a simple but effective concept you may not be familiar with.
1
@PotatoHead2022 You make assumptions that don't have any facts to back them up. Let me make an assumption... ni hao wumao?
1
"beware the ides of march"
1
Sure, as long as it isn't at the expense of others' sovereignty.
1
@youngz13o Then you end up with Muslim nations applauding the CCP for human rights, for genocide of the Uyghurs. ...or nations infringing on other nation's territories, and buying votes to ensure they get away with it. Do you actually have a problem with my first reply? Do you disagree with it?
1
@Bk6346 Who? Why do I care? Why would anyone care?
1
@Bk6346 So some private business man, with a vested interest. It is funny that you want to listen to an iron supplier. China hasn't bothered selecting Australian iron to mess with. Seems like a soft point Australia could use to retaliate. Lucky for China that Australia isn't vindictive and petty, like China. Maybe a 10% export levy would be a fair reaction to China's false claims of dumping, and petty bullying tariff on Aussie wine.
1
@Bk6346 It's not like the Australian government owns these businesses, and would take it personally if someone decided not to buy a companies products. They wouldn't over react emotionally. It's not like Huawei.
1
@janyfirdodones1076 Finland won't get all triggered if Australia doesn't choose Nokia...because it's a private company. Australia is free to choose it's own providers. It isn't up to China to dictate. As for South China Sea, international law says it is international waters - and China knows this due to court arbitration and basic laws of nations Again, China just can't make up it's own rules. Basically, you are saying the CCP is butthurt that it can't bully people. Sounds soft on so many levels. Get over it snowflakes.
1
You forget...Australia is still part of the UK Commonwealth. There are bigger international ties. Only a fool would ignore that detail.
1
@norelle1001 It's about more than just how much richer the rich can get. ...it's an opportunity then to help our friends. I guess these are concepts you never even considered. ...besides, Australia is part of the Commonwealth already anyway. It's a pretty important factor that seems to be overlooked by wumao.
1
@norelle1001 There is more to it than money. Even then, you have a way too simplistic view. Opening markets provides more opportunities. If there were no positives to it, then the CCP wouldn't waste resources sending wumao out to spread misinformation. The obvious nature of the wumao just highlights what worries the CCP, and proves it's a good idea.
1
@norelle1001 Australian's got cheap lobster, beef, wine for Xmas. Some billionaires didn't make as much, others did well. China had regions without power after stopping Australian coal, and has food restrictions. Remember "clean your plate" and don't order a meal for everyone...1 less. You tell me, how did the Australian population lose? Winnie the Xi doesn't care for his people ..and it worked out alright for Australian folks.
1
@norelle1001 I am fine with stopping coal industries...as is most of the population of the civilised world. It's the millionaires that miss out...not every day Australians. Sure, some lobsters get to stay in the ocean, replenishing stock - not a concept China has grasped yet - while the Aussie's get to buy at a cheap price all that is available. We get cheap lobsters, and the companies cover their costs instead of milking the CCP of money. Stop thinking on behalf of those that control you. The millionaires miss out...not the people. Have those regions all got power restored yet? Are you even told about that?
1
@norelle1001 We aren't trying to gain power over China...paranoid much? Nor will we concede power to China. We don't need China. It's just nice that you guys handed over so much money. We have all we need...we can feed ourselves. However, China needs resources from outside. Some of those things, are done best in Australia. We can enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship, if need be. But if the CCP wants to go on a power trip, we just stop playing. China's so called power is empty...and that is why you have regions without power, food shortages, and Aussie's had a bountiful Xmas.
1
He will attack Kyiv from Belarus. The coup is a false flag operation.
1
@sadekgheidan Exactly. The US lose a ship and with that much hardware airborne over that backyard, it is going to be painful. Those carriers will be shadowed by a lot more than you can see.
1
Free the Uighurs
1
@samuelsuglam7405 Carriers have better long range defence than a temporary base. ...but don't let that get in the way of your over inflated sense of capabilities.
1
@samuelsuglam7405 Are you comparing a shot down helicopter, to boarding a carrier? What makes you think the US industrial military complex wanted Afghanistan conflict to end? It was big business for them. You clearly don't understand the nuance. ...and although they have killed innocents, it is just pathetic to try to claim they are the only ones. They have also successfully bombed many legit targets, regularly. I am not advocating for them, but to try to infer they are weak is just moronic, and genuinely dangerous.
1
@samuelsuglam7405 Then who is...?
1
@samuelsuglam7405 Russia and China are not talking like friends. Keep up. Russia stopped the S-400 delivery after the CCP tried to claim Vladivostok recently. Winnie messed up.
1
Mr Nice_Hong_Kong_guy Thanks. With that name, I know you won't steer me wrong. You have my full trust in any propaganda you feed me.
1
Mr Nice_Hong_Kong_guy The fact you replied indicates you do in fact care. The robust nature of that reply suggest you care a little too much. Don't get too upset if I find the need to question your credibility again based on the evidence you provide.
1
Who is in charge in Nth Korea now anyway?
1
China can do whatever they like with the internet in China, of course. Why does anyone else needs China's control on their internet? This doesn't explain anything about what the plan actually is. What is wrong with the Standards that built the internet? They exist already.
1
@sadekgheidan Prowess? In what way?
1
@sadekgheidan As long as everybody just holds still...
1
@ICHIBAN722 That was never claimed by anyone. Are you pretending Ukraine's aid 8s all free? You just make up stuff. Weird. Name checks out...Ruzi
1
@ICHIBAN722 You called me kid. Thankyou. Much appreciated. When you grow up you too will take it as a compliment when someone thinks you are younger than you are. Only the young dislike being told they appear younger than they are. When you grow up, you will understand. You give yourself away.
1
@ICHIBAN722 I have socks older than you, numbat
1
@LoC28C 1:39 China's spokesman said exactly that he expects Australia to work in China's best interests. It's in this video.
1
@YOLO8TR So your government is upset Australia made their own choice on telecommunications providers...even though it is supposed to be a private company. Japan won't get upset if we go with Erikson. That is a severe over reaction to Australia making it's own choice. As for an investigation into the origins of Covid, it makes no sense why anyone would not want to discover that. It's not like China has anything to hide, so why get upset? It would be the same no matter where it originates. ...unless there is more to these 2 topics that give a better reason to be so offended. Sounds like excuses to me...or the CCP is just too easily offended. We both know, it's bully tactics, and like you point out - it ruins an otherwise mutually beneficial relationship. Sounds like a flawed plan to me...or, like I said, there is more to it. Australia can choose it's own providers. Get over it.
1
@YOLO8TR And the anti-dumping farce. China was paying higher prices wholesale, for the same wine than they pay in Australia retail. The case won't hold up. Just more propaganda.
1
lexisfer.m Some have fled the invasion to Poland. A million refugees seeking shelter in Europe, to avoid the invasion. Many Ukraine civilians are defending themselves against Russian armed forces. Children are dying from Russian bombs. Soon, the Russian government will no longer be able to hide the truth. They shut down independent media, but soon the truth will be too big to hide. Good luck
1
lexisfer.m If you only has access to free news, you would understand how wrong you are. The whole of Ukraine has united behind him. You are getting USSR levels of propaganda. The entire rest if the world knows the truth
1
lexisfer.m Millions are across the Poland border. The whole world are accepting war refugees from the nation of Ukraine due to the invasion and war created by Russia
1
lexisfer.m People trying to flee the war in Ukraine are NOT heading to Russia for safety. Ask yourself why that is. If they wanted Russia, they would flee there. Instead they run AWAY from Russia.
1
@AlexSpb871 That makes no sense. I doubt even you believe that.
1
@AlexSpb871 You can't expect us to believe you think Europe wants to shut down independent media in Russia, leaving only state sponsored media. That is hilarious that you think people would believe it. Why would Europe want you to get all news from the government only? Seriously. That's funny.
1
@AlexSpb871 What? The west have hundreds of sources of independent media per country. Russia shut down its only 2, and then block access to a foreign site printed in Russian. Weird claims you make
1
@AlexSpb871 RT and Sputnik are Russian government propaganda branches. That is NOT independent media. You seem confused as to what really is independent media. It's a shame you never experienced it.
