McCarthy gave a hint at what happens when authoritarianism is taken to an extreme. That is not known as an example of the textbook method to route out spies now is it?

As for the "year 8" jab, I was just bringing it down to a level you might understand, when I pointed out that spewing selective information in the hope you appear better educated just shows the assumptions you make about yourself having superior intellect. That is a really long winded way to ignore a very basic question.

You are bringing up things I never mentioned and arguing against them all to stand up for your right to lick your preferred boots. PS McCarthyism had major flaws. There is a reason it inspired stories of the Salem Witch Trials.

  7.  Lats Niebling  I am not sure how you make the leap from me pointing out the very obvious, that spying is universal and not solely a trait of communism infers any specific leaning one way or the other. ...unless, whoever doesn't agree with you completely must be a communists, then at least you are consistent in your support of McCarthyism.
