Anyone else, of any other nationality could still arrive from China. Chinese people could also arrive from in the US as long as they went via another country. Basically, it was a toothless effort to appease those that look for sound bites over substance. Sure your left wing media used the 'racist' sound bite, based on the fact it only stopped a specific nationality, and only in a limited way - instead of attacking the lack of substance. ...but hey, there are people out there stupid enough to believe it had the possibility to do anything, based on a sound bite. ...I think we get it.

Don't believe sound bites, when real actual information is so readily available. America's COVID situation is a complete mess, and any realistic comparison makes that blatantly obvious.

  62.  @evinfleming609  Being that "per capita" is the method to compare metrics across different population sizes, it doesn't make it any more or less impressive based on population size. That is the entire point of "per capita". The metric you want to look at is the percentage of tests giving a positive result. That is the best indication of how much of the population is a carrier.

All the while, measures proven to work the world over are not being implemented. The positive result % of tests done is among the highest in the world. ...and anything implemented to try to stem the flow has been rolled back. I am not sure how you think those stats show the US has done anything other than makes a mess, and are making it worse. Source: compare to the rest of the world. Edit If you extrapolate your numbers, up to 12 million Americans could die if it is left to run it's course. Do you even understand the stats you quoted?

For me to be critical of his response doesn't mean I need to be a US lefty, or that you need to jump to any other conclusions. I don't automatically agree with a person or disagree with a person based on their political leaning. I use facts. Likewise, I don't automatically assume someone occupies the complete extreme opposite end of the political spectrum, just because we have a different opinion on a talking point.
