@evinfleming609 No, they don't. They have a large number of tests done, sure, but you mention "testing rates" - on that metric the US is not even close. Don't believe sound bites, when real actual information is so readily available. America's COVID situation is a complete mess, and any realistic comparison makes that blatantly obvious.

@A M What's your point? I see you have stopped quoting estimated yearly flu death's for a comparison as your method to belittle the mess the US has made of this.

@evinfleming609 Being that "per capita" is the method to compare metrics across different population sizes, it doesn't make it any more or less impressive based on population size. That is the entire point of "per capita". The metric you want to look at is the percentage of tests giving a positive result. That is the best indication of how much of the population is a carrier.

@A M So the facts as you provided show that with only a little more than 1% of the population having been found positive, there is already 143k death's. All the while, measures proven to work the world over are not being implemented. The positive result % of tests done is among the highest in the world. ...and anything implemented to try to stem the flow has been rolled back. I am not sure how you think those stats show the US has done anything other than makes a mess, and are making it worse. Source: compare to the rest of the world. Edit If you extrapolate your numbers, up to 12 million Americans could die if it is left to run it's course. Do you even understand the stats you quoted?
