She talks of trade relationships influencing votes at the UN. Fails to highlight India's abstinence was due to concerns over trade relations with Russia. Seems hypocritical.

All of them trade heavily with Russia, as does India. It's always about the money

@findingdory9820 Why should that stop India from following their principles. Why blame others for India's action?
3
@namaimathutwre8010 What are you talking about? Don't conflate a very simple point. It just looks desperate.
2
@shauryabisht9127 Condemning their action in the UN is very different to aggression. To even link the 2 is weird.

@alchemist7412 I can't argue with that. I was disgusted that there wasn't a major international out cry at the time. It was a very different US political landscape at the time, which may or may not have been a factor. Unfortunately, this kind of childish behaviour of "they started it" never gets improved, unless someone steps up first. Maybe, my disappointment comes from believing India was better than that.

@alchemist7412 You can't have one without the other.
1
@alchemist7412 That doesn't mean it doesn't go both ways though. It's a chicken and egg issue. Which came first?

@kunalmarathe5542 Put away your racism. The "west" isn't all one place. Get off your high horse and find who else is contributing humanitarian aid.
1
@kunalmarathe5542 As for Afghanistan...I was in the street protesting my nation taking part. Again...stop with your over inflate false sense of superiority.
1
@kunalmarathe5542 Why are you accusing me of things I never did, only to abuse me for your twisted imagination. Seek help.
1
@kunalmarathe5542 Many nations are not listing their aid. Also, you are not getting itemised lists, but simply the part your preferred media source choose to show you All you are doing is spitting prejudices. It's rather ugly.
1
@kunalmarathe5542 Russia doesn't get to dictate the path a foreign sovereign nation chooses. The arrogance required is astounding. Paranoia isn't justification.
1
@yvonnememela918 whataboutism. When you can't debate on the actual point. Good job.
1
@yvonnememela918 No one said get involved. Saying it is wrong shouldn't be that hard.
1
I dia is worried about trade with Russia. Understand the truth.
1
@namaimathutwre8010 None of that makes what I said any less true. You realise that, or you wouldn't have tried so hard to deflect.
1
@shauryabisht9127 Whataboutism doesn't make my point any less accurate
1
@allarjun956 "main reason" Even as you argue, you admit it's a factor.
1
@sandipkrmunda Really? They are not supplying the amount of weapons that Russia is...are they. Yours is a fallacious argument
1
@sandipkrmunda Are you trying to claim that buying weapons doesn't count as trade? You really are grasping now.
1
@sandipkrmunda The US only sourced 2% of it's oil from Russia. That is why it was an easy decision for them, as opposed to Europe. The US has banned Russian oil imports
1
@sandipkrmunda No one said it did. What's your point?
1
@sandipkrmunda Why are you limiting the discussion if trade considerations to oil, as if that's all it is? That seems a weird stance to take.
1
@sandipkrmunda What about them?
1
The fact India refuses to condemn a nation invading another sovereign nation, is very different to not wanting to get involved. You can condemn, and not involve yourself. India has trade concerns with Russia, but points that finger at others. That is why they were too gutless to condemn this invasion. Hypocrisy Think about it.
