Technically, it would be up to Taiwan to grant the CCP independence, as the CCP are the result of an uprising against the government. Taiwan is the real nation. The CCP are just a rebel faction that seized control.

@tianmingchen6438 The people in Taiwan consider themselves Taiwanese, not Chinese. Just like you can't change Uighur's religious identity, you can't force Taiwanese to identify as Chinese. What is with this need to enforce CCP will on others? It is getting boring.
