The reason they won't call a general election is because they know that the population want them gone. That is the complete antithesis of democracy.

@6079_SMITH_W Yes, we all understand the technicality the are using to avoid having to ask the will of the people. You say it as if it is somehow a positive.

@6079_SMITH_W There is nothing stopping them from allowing the people to choose their PM, except self preservation. If they thought they would win, they would look to extend their time. Your fact doesn't make my fact any less accurate. They are not mutually exclusive. There is nothing stopping them calling an election, except fear. Just because they can keep power doesn't mean they should. Power hungry, scared and wilfully ignoring the public.

@6079_SMITH_W You're pretending I was talking about an obligation. You are disputing my claim of the antithesis of democracy with a technicality of obligation. If that is what their defence has been reduced to then it is definitely a sad state of affairs.
