  1. So the world knows they can screw with a US election, and they get at least 2 years before their interference is discovered. Then, the chances are their chosen candidate stays in power while US argue about it. Meanwhile, we see a POTUS can screw the country over, and all that happens is the press attack each other. Seems like a successful beta test of a programme for any US enemy - well worth implementing in the future. America, you got bent over by Russia and you are voluntarily holding the position for another.
