They are respectively aguacate and palta, and chile and aji (pronounced ah-hee). Countries with larger afro populations will incorporate african words and countries with a general European, post colonial immigration will for example have Italian words such as laburo for 'work' instead of trabajo. These introduced words are only a very small part of the national languages. Films and television 'soap operas' made locally can be understood throughout the hispanophone world. IMHO opinion, considering the remoteness and isolation of many counties in Latin America, no counties Castillion ever became a dialect of spanish and all remained uniformed linguistically. Truly amazing, a true credit to Spanish. Had the Americans not intervened, the Philippines would have been a spanish speaking country.

  3. There are no Spanish dialects. I speak spanish and I have traveled to all of the Spanish speaking counties, and the language remains consistent with different slang words and slight differences in vocabulary. If you want to talk about dialects then we must speak about Portuguese of Galician or Asturian or Extremaduran. The uniformity in Latin America is stunning when compared with Europe. It is similar to the English in the United States or all other English speaking counties.
